All Israel buried him and mourned for him, according to the word of YHWH, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the prophet.


There was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.


The word of YHWH came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,


I am about to utterly eradicate Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.


Moreover the word of YHWH came by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in YHWH’s sight, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck him.


The jar of meal didn’t run out and the jar of oil didn’t fail, according to the word of YHWH, which he spoke by Elijah.


He restored the border of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the sea of the Arabah, according to YHWH, the God of Israel’s word, which he spoke by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from Gath Hepher.


So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was brought about by God, that YHWH might establish ʜɪꜱ word, which he spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.


Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked, and love those who hate YHWH? Because of this, wrath is on you from before YHWH.


Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, are written in the history of Jehu the son of Hanani, which is included in the book of the kings of Israel.


One who sends a message by the hand of a fool is cutting off feet and drinking violence.
