So he went another way, and didn’t return by the way that he came to Bethel.


Their father said to them, “Which way did he go?” Now his sons had seen which way the man of God went, who came from Judah.


There were men passing by who saw the body thrown on the path, and the lion standing by the body, and they came and told it in the city where the old prophet lived.


He said, “Y’all leave it alone! No one is to disturb his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.


to wit, the prophets of Israel who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace,’” says Lord YHWH.’”


“Son of humanity, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Y’all must listen the word of YHWH:


Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.


Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’


(for how could someone who doesn’t know how to manage their own house take care of God’s church?),


But he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A speechless donkey spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.


When all who knew him before saw that, he prophesied with the prophets, then the people said to one another, “What is this that has come to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”
