2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. But we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.

After my skin is destroyed, then I will see God in my flesh,


You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.


As for me, I will see your face in righteousness. I will be satisfied when I awake to see your likeness.


Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!


I will give them in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.


“But who can endure the day of ʜɪꜱ coming? And who will stand when ʜᴇ appears? For ʜᴇ is like a refiner’s fire, and like a launderer’s soap.


Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.


It will just like this on the day that the Son of Humanity is revealed.


For they are no longer able to die, because they are like the angels. They are children of God, being children of the resurrection.


Yet to all who received him and believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—


and not for the ethnic group only, but that he might also gather together into one group the children of God who are scattered abroad.


Father, I desire that those whom you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they might see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.


The Spirit ʜɪᴍꜱᴇʟꜰ testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.


For I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed in us.


For the creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the children of God.


For those whom ʜᴇ foreknew, ʜᴇ also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he would be the firstborn among many siblings.


For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I am also fully known.


As just as we have borne the image of those made of earth, so we will also bear the image of the heavenly one.


But as it is written, “Things which no eye has seen, and no ear has heard, and which didn’t enter into the human heart, these things God has prepared for those who love him.”


And we all, with unveiled faces are reflecting the glory of the Lord, being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, according to the Lord, who is the Spirit.


For our momentary, lightweight oppression is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.


So y’all are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.


And because y’all are children, God sent the Spirit of ʜɪꜱ Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!”


who will transform our humble bodies into the form of his glorious body, according to the power through which he is able to subject all things to himself.


When Christ, who is your* life, is revealed, then y’all will also be revealed with him in glory.


so Christ also was offered once to bear the sins of many, and he will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.


Through these things ʜᴇ has granted to us ʜɪꜱ precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them y’all may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption of the world caused by evil desire.


Now, little children, y’all must continue to abide in him so that when he appears we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.


Siblings, I am not writing a new commandment to y’all, but an old one which y’all had from the beginning. The old commandment is the message which y’all heard.


Y’all look at the kind of love the Father has given to us—that we should be called children of God! And indeed we are! For this reason the world doesn’t know us: because it didn’t know ʜɪᴍ.


In this, the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who doesn’t love their sibling.


Beloved, if our hearts don’t condemn us, we have confidence before God,


Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the child who is born of ʜɪᴍ.


and I will give that one the morning star.


They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
