While he thus thought, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in sleep saying: Ioseph the son of David, fear not to take unto thee, Mary thy wife. For that which is conceived in her, is of the holy ghost.


¶ When Iesus was born in Bethlehem a town of Jury, in the time of king Herod. Behold, there came wise men from the east to Ierusalem


¶ When Herod was dead, lo an angel of the Lord appeared unto Ioseph in Egypt


Then he arose up, and took the child and his mother, and came into the land of Israhel.


¶ Then came Iesus from Galilee into Iordan to Ihon, for to be baptised of him.


¶ And as soon as they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galile into their own city Nazareth.


They answered, and said unto him: Art thou also of Galile? Search and look, for out of Galile ariseth no prophet.
