¶ Then said he to his servants: The wedding was prepared: but they which were bidden thereto, were not worthy.


If a man come to me, and hate not his father and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, moreover and his own life, he cannot be my disciple.


but they which shall be worthy of that world, and the resurrection from death, neither marry wives,


Watch therefore continually and pray, that ye may scape all this that shall come. And that ye may stand before the son of man.


because that all men should honour the son, even as they honour the father. He that honoureth not the son, the same honoureth not the father which hath sent him.


Thou hast a few names in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy.
