He answered and said unto them: It is given unto you to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.


¶ Another similitude put he forth, unto them saying: The kingdom of heaven is like unto a man which sowed good seed in his field.


And he spake many things to them in similitudes, saying: Behold, the sower went forth to sow.


¶ Another parable he put forth unto them saying: The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man taketh and soweth in his field, which is the least of all seeds.


¶ Another similitude said he to them. The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hideth in iij. pecks of meal, till all was leavened.


saying: repent, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.


¶ From that time Iesus began to preach, and to say: Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.


For unto him that hath, shall it be given: And unto him that hath not, shall be taken away, even that he hath.


and should sleep and rise up night and day: and the seed should spring, and grow up while he is not ware.


¶ Then said he: What is the kingdom of God like? or whereto shall I compare it?


¶ The similitude is this. The seed is the word of God.


A sower went out to sow his seed, and as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and it was trodden under feet, and the fowls of the air devoured it up.


¶ Verily verily I say unto you, except the wheat corn fall into the ground and die, it bideth alone. If it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.


yee, and the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace, of them that keep peace.
