When he was accused of the chief priests and seniors, he answered nothing.


And Pilate asked him: art thou the king of the jews? And he answered, and said unto him: thou sayest it.


Pilate asked him again, saying: Answerest thou nothing? Behold how many things they lay unto thy charge.


Iesus yet answered never a word, so that Pilate marvelled.


And from thenceforth sought Pilate means to loose him: but the jewes cried saying: if thou let him go, thou art not Cesar's friend. Whosoever maketh himself a king, is against Cesar.
