Peter took him aside, and began to rebuke him saying: master favor thy self, this shall not come unto thee.


He answered and said, I will not: but afterward repented and went.


Peter answered, and said unto him: though all men should be hurt by thee, yet would I not be hurt.


Peter said unto him: If I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.


¶ Then came he to Simon Peter. And Peter said to him: Lord shalt thou wash my feet?


Simon Peter said unto him: Lord not my feet only: but also my hands and my head.


Iesus answered: verily, verily I say unto thee: except that a man be born of water, and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.


And now: why tarriest thou? Arise and be baptised, and wash away thy sins, in calling on the name of the Lord.


And such were ye verily: but ye are washed: ye are sanctified: ye are justified by the name of the Lord Iesus: And by the spirit of our God.


to sanctify it, and cleansed it in the fountain of water thorow the word,


Let no man make you shoot at a wrong mark, which after his own imagination walketh in the humbleness and holiness of angels, things which he never saw: causeless puffed up with his fleshly mind,


which things have the similitude of wisdom in chosen holiness, and humbleness, and in that they spare not the body, and do the flesh no worship unto his need.
