And he left them, and went out of the city unto Bethany, and passed the time there.


¶ And behold, two of them went that same day to a town, which was from Ierusalem about three score furlongs, called Emaus:


¶ A certain man was sick, named Lazarus of Bethania the town of Mary and her sister Martha.


When they had rowed about a xxv. or a xxx. furlongs, they saw Iesus walk on the sea, and to draw nye unto the ship, and they were afraid.


and the winefat was trodden with out the city, and blood came out of the fat, even unto the horse bridles by the space of a thousand and iiij score furlongs. (Later editions: a thowsande and .vi.C. furlonges.)


And the city was built iiij. square, and the length was as large as the breadth of it, and he measured the city with the reed xijM. furlongs: and the length, and the breadth, and the height of it, were equal.
