and found a certain jew named Aquila, born in Ponthus, lately come from Italy with his wife Priscilla (because that the Emperor Claudius had commanded all jewes to depart from Rome) and he drew unto them.


¶ And a certain iewe named Apollos, born at Alexandria came to Ephesus. An eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures.


¶ When it was concluded that we should sail into Italy, they delivered Paul and certain other prisoners unto one named Iulius, an undercaptain of Cesar's soldiers.


¶ After three months we departed in a ship of Alexandry, which had wintered in the isle, whose badge was Castor and Pollux.


Then there arose certain of the Synagogue, which are called libertines, and Sirenens, and Alexandrians, and Cilicilians, and Asians, and disputed with Steven.
