2 Dearly beloved, now are we the sons of God, and yet it hath not appear what we shall be. But we know that when it shall appear, we shall be like him. For we shall see him as he is.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.


After these ensamples, shall the day be, when the son of man shall appear.


neither are married, nor yet can die any more. For they are equal unto the angels: and are the sons of God, inasmuch as they are the children of the resurrection.


Unto as many as received him, gave he power to be the sons of god: in that they believed on his name:


and not for the people only: but that he should gather together in one the children of God which were scattered abroad.


¶ Father I will that they which thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which thou hast given me. For thou lovedest me before the making of the world.


The same spirit certifieth our spirit that we are the sons of God.


¶ For I suppose that the afflictions of this life, are not worthy of the glory which shall be shewed upon us.


Also the fervent desire of the creatures abideth looking when the sons of God shall appear


For those which he knew before, he also ordained before, that they should be like fashioned unto the shape of his son, that he might be the first begotten son among many brethren.


Now we see in a glass even in a dark speaking: but then shall we see face to face. Now I know unperfectly: but then shall I know even as I am known.


And as we have born the image of the earthy, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly.


but as it is written: The eye hath not seen, and the ear hath not heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which god hath prepared for them that love him.


And now the Lordi's glory appeareth in us all, as in a glass: and we are changed unto the same similitude, from glory to glory, even of the Lord which is a spirit.


For our exceeding tribulation, which is momentary and light, prepareth an exceeding, and eternal weight of glory unto us,


For ye are all the sons of God, by the faith which is in Christ Iesus.


Because ye are sons, God hath sent the spirit of his son into our hearts, which crieth Abba father.


which shall change into another fashion our vile bodies, that they may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able to subdue all things unto himself.


When Christ which is our life shall shew himself, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.


even so Christ was once offered to take away the sins of many, and unto them that look for him, shall he appear again, without sin unto their health.


by the means whereof, are given unto us excellent and most great promises, that by the help of them ye should be part takers of the godly nature, in that ye fly the corruption of worldly lust.


And now babes abide in him, that when he shall appear, we may be bold, and not be made ashamed of him at his coming.


¶ Brethren I write no new commandment unto you: but that old commandment which ye heard from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye heard from the beginning.


¶ Behold what love the father hath shewed on us, that we should be called the sons of God. For this cause the world knoweth you not because it knoweth not him.


In this are the children of God known, and the children of the devil. Whosoever doth not righteousness, is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.


Tenderly beloved, if our hearts condemn us not, then have we trust to God ward:


¶ Whosoever believeth that Iesus is Christ, is born of God. And every one that loveth him which begat, loveth him also which was begotten of him.


Even as I received of my father. And I will give him the morning star.


And they shall see his face, and his name shall be in their foreheads.
