At that time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?


Jesus said to them, Verily I say to you, that ye who have followed me, in the renovation, when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.


But Jesus answering said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I am about to drink of, or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say to him, We are able.


And Jesus standing still called them and said, What do ye desire that I should do to you?


And Jesus answering said to him, What wilt thou that I should do for thee? The blind man said to him, Lord, that I may receive my sight.


So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat on the right-hand of God.


When the daughter of Herodias had come in and danced and pleased Herod, and his guests, the king said to the damsel, Ask of me whatsoever thou wilt, and I will give it thee.


he asked him, Saying, What wilt thou that I should do for thee? He said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.


And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh Jerusalem, and because they thought the kingdom of God would immediately appear.


There was also a contention among them, Which of them was greatest.


If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done for you.


And when they were come together, they asked him, saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?


In brotherly love be full of tender affection toward each other, in honour preferring one another:


Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is also at the right-hand of God, who likewise maketh intercession for us.


If ye then are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ sitteth at the right-hand of God.
