and calling to their fellows, And saying, We have piped to you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to tou, and ye have not lamented.


And many women were there, beholding afar off, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him.


There were also women, beholding from afar, among whom was Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome:


But Jesus turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.


And the women who had come with him from Galilee, following after, beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.


And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven devils,


And all wept and bewailed her. But he said, Weep not; she is not dead; but sleepeth.


Verily, verily I say unto you, Ye will weep and lament; but the world will rejoice: ye will be sorrowful; but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
