Howbeit this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.


Moreover, when ye fast, be not as the hypocrites of a sad countenance; for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast: verily I say unto you, they have their reward.


Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.


After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two by two into every place, whither he himself intended to come.


And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, who departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers, night and day.


While Peter was musing on the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, men seek thee.


And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting till this hour, and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house,


Then having fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.


So being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, they went down to Seleucia, and from thence sailed to Cyprus.

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God,


But how shall they preach, unless they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the glad tidings of good things!


That I should be the servant of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministring the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles may be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.


But one and the same Spirit worketh all these, dividing to every one severally as he willeth.


Withdraw not from each other, unless it be by consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to prayer, and may come together again, lest Satan tempt you through your incontinence.


In labour and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.


in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;


But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,


Of which I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of his power.


And say to Archippus, Take heed that thou fulfil the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord.


to be testified of in due season, Whereunto I am ordained a preacher and an apostle, (I speak the truth, I lie not) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.


Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.


And the things which thou hast heard from me before many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.


Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with thee, for he is profitable to me for service.


But watch thou in all things, endure affliction, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.


And no one taketh this honour to himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
