And coming out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.


Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,


sending it to the elders, by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.


And Barnabas and Saul, having fulfilled their service, returned from Jerusalem, taking with them John, surnamed Mark.


Then Saul (who is also called Paul ) filled with the Holy Ghost,


And Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, exhorted and confirmed the brethren with many words.


Paul also and Barnabas abode in Antioch, teaching and preaching with many others also the word of the Lord.


And Paul laying his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spake with tongues and prophesied.


And he had four daughters, virgins, who were prophetesses.


And Joses, by the apostles surnamed Barnabas, which is, being interpreted, a son of consolation,


But Saul still breathing threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord,


Timothy my fellow-labourer, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater my kinsmen salute you.


Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, dishonoureth his head.


And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.


Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.


Let two or three of the prophets speak, and let the rest judge. But if any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by,


For the Spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.


Or I only and Barnabas, have we not power to forbear working?


And the other Jews also dissembled with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their dissimulation.


) And when James, and Cephas, and John, who undoubtedly were pillars, knew the grace that was given to me, they gave the right-hands of fellowships to me and Barnabas, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision: Only they desired that we would be mindful of the poor,


And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers;


All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of C?sar's houshold.
