But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.


And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many.


For false Christs and false prophets shall arise and shew great signs and wonders, so that they would deceive (if it were possible) even the elect.


For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.


But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.


For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.


But he that denieth me before man, shall be denied before the angels of God.


And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ: And the time is near.


Wo to you, when all men shall speak well of you; for so did their fathers to the false prophets.


For such serve not the Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by good words and fair speeches, deceive the hearts of the simple.


For there must be heresies also among you, that the approved among you may be manifest).


And ye are not your own: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God with your body and your spirit, which are God's.

They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

by which he hath freely accepted us through the beloved, By whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our sins,


That we may be no longer children, fluctuating to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the slight of men, by cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive:


whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame;


Let none defraud you of your reward by a voluntary humility and worship of angels, intruding into the things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,


Beware lest any man make a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of this world, and not after Christ.


But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own family, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.


For the time will come, when they will not endure sound doctrine, but will heap to themselves teachers, according to their own desires, having itching ears.


Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole families, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of filthy gain.


An heretic after a first and second admonition reject,


Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and counted the blood of the covenant, by which he hath been sanctified, an unholy thing, and done despite to the spirit of grace?


Whom having not seen, ye love: in whom tho' ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.


And through covetousness will they with feigned speeches make merchandize of you, whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.


These things have I written to you, concerning them that seduce you.


Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.


For they told you, In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly desires.


For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were of old described before with regard to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.


And he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the wonders which it is given him to do before the wild beast: saying to them that dwell on the earth, to make an image to the wild beast, which had the wound by the sword, and yet lived.


I know where thou dwellest, where the throne of Satan is; and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, in the days wherein Antipas, my faithful witness was, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.


I know thy affliction and poverty, (but thou art rich) and the reviling of those who say they are Jews and are not, but a synagogue of Satan.


I know thy works, (behold I have given before thee an opened door, none can shut it) that thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.


And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book and to open the seals thereof; for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,


And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, thou Holy One and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell upon the earth?
