Direct my footsteps in Your word, and let no iniquity get mastery over me.


Who can discern his errors? Cleanse me of hidden faults.


“If a man’s hair has fallen from his head, he is bald. He is clean.


“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, whoever you allow to remain will become to you barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land in which you will be living.


Instead, put on the Lord Messiah Yeshua, and stop making provision for the flesh—for its cravings.


But to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—wrath and fury.


so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness, to eternal life through Messiah Yeshua our Lord.


For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.


Do you not know that to whatever you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to what you obey—whether to sin resulting in death, or to obedience resulting in righteousness?


And if the Ruach of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead dwells in you, the One who raised Messiah Yeshua from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Ruach who dwells in you.


For if you live according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Ruach you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.


For we who live are always being handed over to death for Yeshua’s sake, so that the life of Yeshua may be revealed in our mortal body.


For we groan while we are in this tent—burdened because we don’t want to be unclothed but to be clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.


But I say, walk by the Ruach, and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.


Now those who belong to Messiah have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.


We too all lived among them in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind. By nature we were children of wrath, just like the others.


With respect to your former lifestyle, you are to lay aside the old self corrupted by its deceitful desires,


and Adonai your God gives them over to you and you strike them down, then you are to utterly destroy them. You are to make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them.


not in the passion of lust like the pagans who do not know God;


Now flee from youthful desires; instead, pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and shalom, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.


training us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live in a manner that is self-controlled and righteous and godly in the present age.


For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deluded, enslaved to various desires and pleasures, spending our lives in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.


Like obedient children, do not be shaped by the cravings you had formerly in your ignorance.


Loved ones, I urge you as strangers and sojourners to keep away from the fleshly cravings that war against the soul.


These are bellyaching grumblers, following after their own desires. Their mouth speaks grandiose things, showing favoritism for the sake of gain.


how they kept telling you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following after their own ungodly desires.”


Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out from before you, but they will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’”
