Make Your face shine on Your servant, and teach me Your decrees.


His glory is great through Your salvation. Honor and majesty You bestow on him.


Behold, You made my days mere hand-breadths, and my lifetime as nothing before You. Surely all humanity is but vapor. Selah


These things I remember as I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng, walking with them to the House of God, with a voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a festival.


With Your hand You displaced nations, but You planted them. You afflicted peoples, and You drove them out.


For the music director, with stringed instruments, a psalm, a song.


Then we will not turn away from You. Revive us, and we will call on Your Name.


You make us a contention to our neighbors, and our enemies mock as they please.


Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. Lovingkindness and truth go before You.


Why do you spend money for what is not bread? Your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen diligently to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance.


And He will sit as a smelter or a purifier of silver, and He will cleanse the sons of Levi, and purify them like gold or silver. Then they will become for Adonai those who present an offering in righteousness.


Adonai turn His face toward you and grant you shalom!’


And I’ll say to myself, ’O my soul, you have plenty of goods saved up for many years! So take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry.”’


“Now there was a rich man dressed in purple and fine linen, living it up in luxury every day.


Peoples they call to the mountain— there they offer righteous sacrifices. For they suckle the abundance of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand.’


Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a town and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.”
