And He tells them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.”


Then He comes and finds them sleeping; and He tells Peter, “Simon, you’re asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour?


Again He went away and prayed, saying the same words.


But stay alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things about to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”


When he reached the place, He said to them, “Pray that you will not enter into temptation.”


And He said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation.”


Be on the alert! Stand firm in the faith! Be men of courage! Be strong!


For the flesh sets its desire against the Ruach, but the Ruach sets its desire against the flesh—for these are in opposition to one another, so that you cannot do what you want.


Therefore, my loved ones, just as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence—work out your salvation with fear and trembling.


Stay alert! Watch out! Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, searching for someone to devour.


“Because you have kept My word about patient endurance, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is coming upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth.
