Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.


“Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will among men.”


John replied, “A person cannot receive anything unless it is given to him from heaven.


It is written in the Prophets, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone therefore who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me—


Then he said, “That is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it has been granted to him by my Father.”


The hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number of people believed and turned to the Lord.


For by the grace given to me I tell everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think, but to think sensibly, in accordance with the measure of faith that God has distributed to each one of you.


though her sons were not yet born and had done nothing good or evil, in order for the purpose of God's choice to stand (not because of works but because of him who calls),


So then, it does not depend on human will or effort, but on God's mercy.


and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers all of them in everyone.


But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.


Not that we are competent in and of ourselves to claim that anything comes from us, but our competence comes from God.


In Christ we have obtained an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his own will,


He foreordained us for adoption as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,


He made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ


For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,


With this in mind, we always pray for you that our God will make you worthy of his calling and by his power bring to fulfillment every good intention and work of faith,


He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,


equip you in every good work so that you may do his will. May he accomplish in you what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
