They said to him, “Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away?”


Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate.”


For a married woman is bound by the law to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning her husband.


In the same way husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.


Marriage must be held in honor by all, and the marriage bed must be kept pure, but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.
