You will be hated by all because of my name, but he who endures to the end will be saved.


Whoever finds his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.


For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.


And everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, or fields for my name's sake, will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life.


For what will it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul?

But I take no account of these things, nor do I regard my life as precious to myself, if only I may complete my course with joy and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

I do this for the sake of the gospel, so that I may share in its blessings.


So I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, and in distresses for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.


Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel as you rely on the power of God.


Women received back their dead by resurrection. Other people were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection.


They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so as to shy away from death.


Do not be afraid of what yoʋ are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison so that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give yoʋ the crown of life.


I said to him, “Sir, yoʋ know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
