Mark 15:46 - The Text-Critical English New Testament

46 After buying a linen cloth and taking him down, Joseph wrapped him in the linen cloth and laid him in a tomb that had been hewn in the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.

And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone from the entrance and sat on it.


When he found out from the centurion that it was so, he granted the body to Joseph.


And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.


Then he took it down, wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid it in a tomb hewn in the rock, where no one had ever been laid.


Deeply moved once more, Jesus came to the tomb. (It was a cave, and a stone was lying against it.)


So they took away the stone from where the dead man was laid. Then Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank yoʋ that yoʋ have heard me.


On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and she saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.
