From the sixth hour until the ninth hour, there was darkness over the whole land.


And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have yoʋ forsaken me?”


It was the third hour when they crucified him.


When some of those standing nearby heard this, they said, “Behold, he is calling for Elijah.”


Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.


Then Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Father, into yoʋr hands I commit my spirit.” After saying this, he breathed his last breath.


About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God, who came in and said to him, “Cornelius!”


In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
