And going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed, “My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as yoʋ will.”


They were being baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.


He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for yoʋ. Take this cup away from me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what yoʋ will.”


But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how consumed I am with it until it is completed!


“Father, if yoʋ are willing to take this cup away from me, do so; nevertheless, not my will, but yoʋrs be done.”


But Jesus said to Peter, “Put yoʋr sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?”


In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.


You ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
