Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them.


So he said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”


He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly disturbed and distressed.


From that point he did not allow anyone to accompany him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.


After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them.
