He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly disturbed and distressed.


Simon (whom he also named Peter) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,


But when Jesus heard this, he said to him in response, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be healed.”


Meanwhile, all the people were weeping and mourning for her, but Jesus said, “Do not weep; she is not dead but sleeping.”


About eight days after he had spoken these words, he took Peter, John, and James, and went up on the mountain to pray.


But Peter sent them all outside, knelt down, and prayed. Turning toward the body, he said, “Tabitha, arise.” Then she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.
