17 On one of those days, as he was teaching, some Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was present to heal the people.

The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are made clean and the deaf hear, the dead are raised and the poor have good news preached to them.


Then the scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem came to Jesus and said,


But the man went out and began to proclaim it widely and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places. Yet people were coming to him from everywhere.


they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will certainly not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”


But the scribes who had come down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.”


Jesus immediately perceived in himself that power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?”


Now the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had come from Jerusalem were gathered around Jesus.


But the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”


After three days, they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.


But the scribes and the Pharisees began to question what Jesus said: “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”


But the scribes of the people and the Pharisees were grumbling at his disciples, saying, “Why are you eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners?”


The entire crowd was trying to touch him, because power was coming out from him and healing them all.


But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)


But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I know that power has gone out from me.”


Jesus answered him, “Yoʋ are the teacher of Israel, and yoʋ do not understand these things?


But whoever lives by the truth comes to the light, so that it may be evident that his works have been done in God.”


Now God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,


as yoʋ stretch out yoʋr hand to heal and to perform signs and wonders through the name of yoʋr holy servant Jesus.”


but a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was held in honor by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and gave orders to put the apostles outside for a little while.
