“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of my Father in heaven.


And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather together his chosen from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.


I tell you that many will come from east and west, and recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet table in the kingdom of heaven,


For what will it benefit a person if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul?


But God said to him, ‘Yoʋ fool! This very night yoʋr life will be demanded back from yoʋ, and the things yoʋ have prepared, whose will they be?’


He longed to be filled with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table, but instead the dogs would come and lick his sores.


No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.


One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining on Jesus' chest.


Then Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them (the one who had leaned back on Jesus' chest at the supper and said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray yoʋ?”)


Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?


Therefore, since the children all have flesh and blood, Jesus himself took on flesh and blood as well, so that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,


For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass, and its flower falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in his pursuits.


He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to our sins and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.


Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works will follow them.”
