Look at the birds of the sky: They do not sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?


So he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I do not have anywhere to store my crops?’


And I will say to my soul, “Soul, yoʋ have many goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, and be merry.” ’


This is how it will be with anyone who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”


Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap; they have no storehouse or barn, yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than birds?


For a while he would not do so, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,


Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says.


This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.


Come now, you who say, “Today and tomorrow let us go to such and such a city, spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.”


Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, let us live and do this or that.”
