How could you not understand that I was not talking about bread when I told you to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?”


Then Jesus said to them, “Watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”


“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.


But I have said these things to you so that when the hour comes you will remember that I said them to you. I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.


They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.


For such people do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly. By smooth talk and fine speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.


Therefore whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall.


So then, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.


But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds will be led astray from simple devotion to Christ.


You who are seeking to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.


So we must no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men and their craftiness in deceitful scheming.


Watch out for the dogs, watch out for the evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh.


For though I am absent in body, I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.


Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men and the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.


Yoʋ yoʋrself should be on guard against him, for he has vehemently opposed our message.


For we have become sharers in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.


Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are enduring the same kinds of suffering.


and if he rescued righteous Lot, who was distressed by the sensual conduct of the lawless


Beloved, this is now the second letter that I am writing to you. In both of them I have tried to stir up your sincere mind by way of reminder,


Therefore, remember where yoʋ have fallen from; repent and do the works yoʋ did at first. Otherwise, I will come to yoʋ quickly and remove yoʋr lampstand from its place, unless yoʋ repent.
