Or is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is mine? Are yoʋ envious because I am good?’


if it is exhortation, he should exhort; if it is giving, he should do so generously; if it is leadership, he should do so diligently; if it is showing mercy, he should do so cheerfully.


Or do yoʋ despise the riches of his kindness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads yoʋ to repentance?


Now this is the reason for our confidence: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with integrity and godly sincerity, not by worldly wisdom, but by the grace of God.


I wrote to you because I wanted to test your character and see if you would be obedient in everything.


as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.


May you be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion, and through us may your generosity produce thanksgiving to God!


By their approval of this ministry, the saints in Jerusalem will glorify God because of your submission to the gospel of Christ that you confess, and also because of your generous contribution to them and to all.


And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you received the word in much affliction with the joy of the Holy Spirit.


For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are in Judea, because you suffered the same things from your own countrymen that they did from the Jews,


Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?


I know yoʋr works, yoʋr tribulation, and yoʋr poverty—yet yoʋ are rich! I know the slander of those who declare themselves to be Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
