Brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against their parents and have them put to death.


slanderers, haters of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,


For the promise to Abraham, or to his offspring, that he would be the heir of the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.


Now the law came in so that the trespass might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded all the more,


For sin will have no dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.


Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the descendant should come to whom the promise had been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.


But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.


envy, murder, drunkenness, revelries, and the like. I warn you, just as I warned you before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.


gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.


And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy with the breath of his mouth and annihilate by the appearance of his coming.


Have nothing to do with profane myths and old wives' tales. Rather train yoʋrself for godliness.


O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to yoʋ and avoid the profane chatter and counterarguments of what is falsely called “knowledge.”


Avoid profane chatter, for those who engage in such talk will stray further and further into ungodliness,


For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,


For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision faction.


They profess to know God, but by their works they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient, and proven unqualified for any good work.


An elder must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, with faithful children who are not rebellious and cannot be accused of debauchery.


For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, and enslaved to various lusts and pleasures. Living in wickedness and envy, we were loathsome and hated one another.


By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had welcomed the spies in peace.


See to it that there is no fornicator or profane person like Esau, who sold his birthright in exchange for a single meal.


This precious value is for you who believe, but to those who are disobedient, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”


who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight people, were saved through water.


And, “If the righteous man is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly man and sinner?”


to execute judgment against all and to convict all the ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds that they have done in an ungodly way, and to convict ungodly sinners of all the harsh words they have spoken against him.”


But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the sinful, the detestable, the murderers, the fornicators, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, their portion is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”


Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the fornicators, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
