The one woman said, “Oh, my lord, this woman and I dwell in the same house; and I gave birth to a child while she was in the house.


“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you.


My son, fear the Lord and the king, and do not disobey either of them;


Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.


Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.


“You shall rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the Lord.


He said, “Yes.” And when he came home, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their sons or from others?”


They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”


Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” And they were amazed at him.


Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?”


He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.”


And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting our nation, and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ a king.”


love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor.


For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing.


however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.


Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as to Christ;


Besides that, they learn to be idlers, gadding about from house to house, and not only idlers but gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not.


Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching;


Let all who are under the yoke of slavery regard their masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be defamed.


Likewise you husbands, live considerately with your wives, bestowing honor on the woman as the weaker sex, since you are joint heirs of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.


So Samuel called upon the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.
