He shall be a wild ass of a man, his hand against every man and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen.”


Issachar is a strong ass, crouching between the sheepfolds;


But a stupid man will get understanding, when a wild ass's colt is born a man.


Behold, like wild asses in the desert they go forth to their toil, seeking prey in the wilderness as food for their children.


Can you bind him in the furrow with ropes, or will he harrow the valleys after you?


Their young ones become strong, they grow up in the open; they go forth, and do not return to them.


Does the wild ass bray when he has grass, or the ox low over his fodder?

For the palace will be forsaken, the populous city deserted; the hill and the watchtower will become dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;
