And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.


The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper fit for him.


The man said, “The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”


He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.


If any one thinks that he is not behaving properly toward his betrothed, if his passions are strong, and it has to be, let him do as he wishes: let them marry—it is no sin.


Likewise you husbands, live considerately with your wives, bestowing honor on the woman as the weaker sex, since you are joint heirs of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.


Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, should I not seek a home for you, that it may be well with you?
