yet his food is turned in his stomach; it is the gall of asps within him.


O Lord, I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid. Thou hast loosed my bonds.


The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is caught in the toils of his sin.


Now therefore do not scoff, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord God of hosts upon the whole land.


“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?


Your ways and your doings have brought this upon you. This is your doom, and it is bitter; it has reached your very heart.”


Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will feed this people with wormwood, and give them poisonous water to drink.


Remember my affliction and my bitterness, the wormwood and the gall!


he has beseiged and enveloped me with bitterness and tribulation;


Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin.


Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, with all malice,

For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of nether gloom to be kept until the judgment;
