Moreover he appointed certain of the Levites as ministers before the ark of the Lord, to invoke, to thank, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel.


Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and supplications with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.


“And when you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.


pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”


After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to come.
