I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; lo, I have not restrained my lips, as thou knowest, O Lord.


“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim to it the message that I tell you.”


And blessed is he who takes no offense at me.”


And when they came to Jesus, they besought him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,


But he said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”


When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John to assist them.


and on the sabbath day we went outside the gate to the riverside, where we supposed there was a place of prayer; and we sat down and spoke to the women who had come together.


On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the morrow; and he prolonged his speech until midnight.


And when we came into Rome, Paul was allowed to stay by himself, with the soldier that guarded him.


And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!”


Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.


Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.


of which I became a minister according to the divine office which was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,


and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison,


And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit;


And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.


Till I come, attend to the public reading of scripture, to preaching, to teaching.


As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear.


If any one purifies himself from what is ignoble, then he will be a vessel for noble use, consecrated and useful to the master of the house, ready for any good work.


correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth,


Now you have observed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness,


This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,


Declare these things; exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.


I appeal to you, brethren, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.


Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent.
