The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.


The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”


For it is written in the book of Psalms, ‘Let his habitation become desolate, and let there be no one to live in it’; and ‘His office let another take.’

Just as you were once disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience,

but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.


Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus with its eternal glory.


Once you were no people but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy but now you have received mercy.
