For they that strangers are to me do up against me rise; Oppressors seek my soul, and God set not before their eyes.


Let death upon them seize, and down let them go quick to hell; For wickedness doth much abound among them where they dwell.


So shall th' assembly of thy folk about encompass thee: Thou, therefore, for their sakes, return unto thy place on high.


O Lord of hosts, almighty God, how long shall kindled be Thy wrath against the prayer made by thine own folk to thee?


Lord God of hosts, my prayer hear; O Jacob's God, give ear.


The heathen are sunk in the pit which they themselves prepar'd; And in the net which they have hid their own feet fast are snar'd.
