There fallen are they, and ruined, that work iniquities: Cast down they are, and never shall be able to arise.


The wicked man doth watch the just, and seeketh him to slay.


Whoe'er they be that in their wealth their confidence do pitch, And boast themselves, because they are become exceeding rich:


Let death upon them seize, and down let them go quick to hell; For wickedness doth much abound among them where they dwell.


But thou, O Lord my God, those men in justice shalt o'erthrow, And in destruction's dungeon dark at last shalt lay them low: The bloody and deceitful men shall not live half their days: But upon thee with confidence I will depend always.


O Lord, on them destruction bring, and do their tongues divide; For in the city violence and strife I have espy'd.


They run, and, without fault in me, themselves do ready make: Awake to meet me with thy help; and do thou notice take.
