I am with sore affliction ev'n overwhelm'd, O Lord: In mercy raise and quicken me, according to thy word.


My soul to dust cleaves: quicken me, according to thy word.


Turn thou away my sight and eyes from viewing vanity; And in thy good and holy way be pleas'd to quicken me.


Lo, for thy precepts I have long'd; in thy truth quicken me.


After thy loving-kindness, Lord, me quicken, and preserve: The testimony of thy mouth so shall I still observe.


Though I in midst of trouble walk, I life from thee shall have: 'Gainst my foes' wrath thou'lt stretch thine hand; thy right hand shall me save.


Lord, hear my pray'r, attend my suits; and in thy faithfulness Give thou an answer unto me, and in thy righteousness.


Now, for thine own name's sake, O Lord, I thee entreat To pardon mine iniquity; for it is very great.


My heart's griefs are increas'd: me from distress relieve.


In thee, O Lord, I put my trust, sham'd let me never be; According to thy righteousness do thou deliver me.


The troubles that afflict the just in number many be; But yet at length out of them all the Lord doth set him free.


And let me, in thy righteousness, from thee deliv'rance have; Cause me escape, incline thine ear unto me, and me save.


That in thee may thy people joy, wilt thou not us revive?
