The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.


Uphold me according to your promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope.


O guard my life, and deliver me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.


therefore thus says the Lord God, See, I am laying in Zion a foundation stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation: “One who trusts will not panic.”


But Israel is saved by the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity.


Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; do not be discouraged, for you will not suffer disgrace; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the disgrace of your widowhood you will remember no more.


Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures: ‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is amazing in our eyes’?


The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and it will crush anyone on whom it falls.”


Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.


The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”


and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.


But my friends, why am I still being persecuted if I am still preaching circumcision? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.


It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be put to shame in any way, but that by my speaking with all boldness, Christ will be exalted now as always in my body, whether by life or by death.


and for this reason I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard until that day what I have entrusted to him.


And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
