David and all the people with him set out and went from Baale-judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord of hosts who is enthroned on the cherubim.


tremble before him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it shall never be moved.


He rode on a cherub, and flew; he came swiftly upon the wings of the wind.


“I have set my king on Zion, my holy hill.”


Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock! You who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth


before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh. Stir up your might, and come to save us!


They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk around in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.


The Lord is king, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength. He has established the world; it shall never be moved;


Say among the nations, “The Lord is king! The world is firmly established; it shall never be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity.”


Worship the Lord in holy splendor; tremble before him, all the earth.


The Lord is king! Let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad!


His lightnings light up the world; the earth sees and trembles.


There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the covenant, I will deliver to you all my commands for the Israelites.


The Lord has poured into them a spirit of confusion; and they have made Egypt stagger in all its doings as a drunkard staggers around in vomit.


I looked on the mountains, and lo, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and fro.


At the sound of their fall the earth shall tremble; the sound of their cry shall be heard at the Red Sea.

But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and slaughter them in my presence.’ ”


Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;


singing, “We give you thanks, Lord God Almighty, who are and who were, for you have taken your great power and begun to reign.


Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.


The sky vanished like a scroll rolling itself up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
