So Hanun seized David's servants, shaved them, cut off their garments in the middle at their hips, and sent them away;


They repay me evil for good; my soul is forlorn.


For without cause they hid their net for me; without cause they dug a pit for my life.


Those who render me evil for good are my adversaries because I follow after good.


Evil will not depart from the house of one who returns evil for good.


Although Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he continued to go to his house, which had windows in its upper room open toward Jerusalem, and to get down on his knees three times a day to pray to his God and praise him, just as he had done previously.
