And the soul of king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.


Wherefore Hanun took David's servants, and shaved them, and cut off their garments in the midst hard by their buttocks, and sent them away.


They rewarded me evil for good To the spoiling of my soul.


For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, Which without cause they have digged for my soul.


They also that render evil for good Are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.


Whoso rewardeth evil for good, Evil shall not depart from his house.


Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
