Proverbs 1:1

So Solomon sat on the throne of his father David; and his kingdom was firmly established.


So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him. There was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and the two of them made a treaty.


See, a son shall be born to you; he shall be a man of peace. I will give him peace from all his enemies on every side; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days.


And of all my sons, for the Lord has given me many, he has chosen my son Solomon to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.


Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord, succeeding his father David as king; he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.


He died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor; and his son Solomon succeeded him.
