They utter lies to each other; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.


The wicked plot against the righteous, and gnash their teeth at them;


The wicked watch for the righteous, and seek to kill them.


Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.


Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the ten men with him got up and struck down Gedaliah son of Ahikam son of Shaphan with the sword and killed him, because the king of Babylon had appointed him governor in the land.
