seat two scoundrels opposite him, and have them bring a charge against him, saying, ‘You have cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out, and stone him to death.”


You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.


You shall not revile God, or curse a leader of your people.


You shall not give any of your offspring to sacrifice them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.


When any of you sin in that you have heard a public adjuration to testify and—though able to testify as one who has seen or learned of the matter—does not speak up, you are subject to punishment.


But anyone who is clean and is not on a journey, and yet refrains from keeping the passover, shall be cut off from the people for not presenting the Lord's offering at its appointed time; such a one shall bear the consequences for the sin.
